Aiden played his second season in the Paperweight league on the Port Credit Jets. He had the same coaches as his first year and some of the same players. Again this year the coaches were great with Aiden and made him really enjoy hockey. Here are some videos and pictures from Aiden’s second year in hockey.

PCHA Night and Coaches game.
Both Abby and Aiden attended and had a blast at the PCHA night at the Steelheads game and also went to Coaches vs Coaches fundraiser game.

 Aiden playing at Steelhead game
Aiden got a chance to play a mini game at the Steelheads right after New Year’s. For Aiden’s game, Julie and Macklan were able to come up and stay for the night and then go to Aiden’s game. At this visit Julie told us that she was expecting her second child. So we all went to the game together. Now I went ahead and took Aiden to get him setup at the game and I accidentally took Julie’s keys with me. So right after I got Aiden settled into his dressing room and I received the text from Melissa looking of the keys. I then had to leave Aiden with his coaches and I had to drive home to give her her keys so that she and Macklan could drive to the game. The reason that they needed her keys were that they were going to leave from the game to go home. I got back to the Steelhead game just in time to get Aiden dressed for his mini game. So that added a little excitement to the start of the game.
Christmas Game
Aiden had a great Christmas game this year. This year Referee Tom dressed as Santa again. However this year another ref was dressed as Olaf from Frozen. During the game Aiden made snow angels with Santa and sang Jingle Bells over the PA system.

Aiden scoring
Mom, Dad and Rob watching his game.
Mom, Dad and Rob came up to visit for Mom’s birthday and Abby’s steelhead mini game. While they were here, they all got to watch Aiden;s morning game followed by a birthday breakfast next to the arena. It was a great morning.

Consolation Championship
In Aiden’s league, they have a playoffs that last several weeks where they narrow the 12 teams down to the top 4. Aiden’s team was pone of the final four. They then lost to the Sharks in the Semi so they then played for the consolation cup. In the Consolation Cup final they played the Canucks and won 3-2 in overtime. Andrew, from Aiden’s line scored the winning goal, it was amazing.
As a part of winning, each member of the team got to have the consolation cup at their house for 2 days. While it was here, we had lots of fun with the trophy, drinking Cream Soda out of it and sleeping with it.
It was a great 2014!!!!!!
