Abby’s 7th Birthday: Aug 2013

Abby’s 7th birthday began with a great big hug from her little brother. I then took her to the babysitter’s because it was the first day of a 3 day conference on ASD that I was attending. The celebration wasn’t slated to begin until the evening.

In the evening, we met Ted and Sandra and went bowling at Classic Bowl. It was the first time that Abby and Aiden had ever been bowling. We went 10 pin bowling so we were using the big bowling balls. So because of that, we got a ramp that Abby and Aiden could use to roll their ball down. We also had them put up guards so that there would be no gutter balls. The kids had a blast with Aiden keeping track of when everyone’s turn was and Abby cheering everyone on when they bowled.

After we finished bowling, we went to eat at The Mandarin. At the Mandarin, they brought Abby a small desert and took a picture of Abby with her special desert that we brought home and stuck on the fridge for a couple months.

When we got home, Abby opened her presents from everyone. She got some Monster High Dolls, which are like Gothic Barbie’s. These have been popular for a little over a year now. She also got a foot warmer that she named “Bun Bun.” She has gone to bed with it everyday since her birthday.
