Aiden’s First Skating Lesson

Aiden finally got to go skating for the first time on Jan 8th. As you can tell, he was pretty excited, and so were we. He went to the lesson with Melissa because it happens during the school day, but I really wish I could have been there. However as you will see, the pictures that Melissa took made it feel like you were actually there.

It was just last April that I took Aiden to buy his first pair of skates to find out that his feet were too small to fit into any skates. We both left the store that day feeling pretty disappointed. So, as soon as he could fit into the smallest skate, we bought him his first pair. Then we started the long hockey tradition of passing down hockey equipment and gave Aiden, Abby’s old helmet. After that he was good to go.

As expected, he spent most of the first lesson sitting/falling onto the ice, he still managed to get up on his own a couple times as captured by Melissa’s photos.

After his first lesson, Aiden came off excited to get to his next lesson.
