For March Break this year, Melissa and I went to Peterborough and visited with family.
First off, we had a baby shower for Charlie. It was lots of fun.
Peterborough Petes Game
In the evening of the shower, Aiden, Papa and I went to a Peterborough Petes game. Before the game, Papa took us out for supper at the Memorial Centre. While at the restaurant a nice man came up to Aiden and myself and gave him a blow up noise maker that he used throughout the game. During the game, Aiden got to have chips and popcorn and juice that he ordered during the intermission. Aiden had a tonne of fun. And to be honest with you, I do not even remember who won the game, but that doesn’t matter because we had a tonne of fun.

Visit to Uncle Joe’s
While at home, we went to visit Uncle Joe’s farm to see the new baby goats that had been born in the last week. The kids loved seeing and picking up the goats. They also checked out the adult goats while they were there.

Skating at Warsaw Arena
While there we saw that there was free skating at the Warsaw Arena. When we went to the arena on the afternoon it was advertised, we realized that we had gotten there over 45 min early. However, the manager of the arena said that he didn’t mind if we went on the ice early. That is something that would never happen in Mississauga. They would never let you on the ice a moment early for “insurance reasons.”n Gotta love small towns.

Visit to Grandpa
A couple weeks prior to March Break, Grandpa was admitted to Extendicare Lakefield. So while we were home we planned a family dinner with the entire family to take place in the party room. The party room there is quite lovely, providing privacy for the family and seating for 8-12 people.

A Visit to the Allison’s
We also visited with The Allison’s (Peter, Julie and Macklan). They had us over for supper and we spent the night there.
