This year’s family reunion was a very hot day with a high of almost 30 degrees. It was a smaller turn out this year with some of the Waudby’s unable to come because of previous engagements. Another notable absence was that of Peter, Julie & Macklan who were in Windsor at a Blues Festival. It was still an awesome day with lost of fun and games played by all. We played the “Junk in the Trunk” game where everyone gets to shake ping png ball out of a kleenex box. We also played the m & m’sĀ game where you carry the smarties on a straw or on a spoon and put them in a bowl. There were also a some other games that you can see in the pictures below.
However the hit for the games was the water spray game. In the game all the players had to fill up their water canyons and race to the other end and spray them in the bucket. However, you could also spray the person you were competing against as well. For this game I broke up brother and sisters, husbands and wives, and boyfriend and girlfriend’s knowing full well it would be too tempting for them not to spray each other. As you can see from the pictures, there were a lot of people spraying each other.

After the games were done, we took some family portraits in front of Uncle Sam and Aunt Barb’s cabin.Ā Ā We then enjoyed visiting, drinking and eating for the duration of the day.

In the evening we had a bonfire and roasted some marshmallows and hot dogs. This year though the bonfire did not last long as we became overwhelmed with mosquitoes. So we retreated into Uncle Sam and Aunt Barb’s house where we played some games that included Pictionary and a card game that I cannot remember the name of. At the end of the evening, Rob and I enjoyed a night cap with Aunt Linda.

For our sleeping arrangements this year, the kids and I camped outside for the first time together in our new tent and sleeping bags. The kids absolutely loved falling asleep looking up at the stars. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and then drove back to Peterborough to visit with Mom & Dad
