Family Day 2013

On Family Day Weekend, I went to Mom & Dad’s for the weekend. It was a very relaxing weekend. On Saturday morning, Julie came over with Macklan and visited for a little while. The kids helped to feed Macklan some breakfast and then snuggled with him on the couch, which made for some cute pictures.

On Saturday evening we went to the Allison’s for supper, where the kids played with all of Macklan’s toys as if they had never seen them before, which is funny because some of the toys actually belonged to them when they were little. They then took some really cute pics with Mama and Papa and Macklan.

The kids and I then stayed overnight at the Allison’s.

On Sunday morning, the Allison’s and the Cain’s got up and headed to Aunt Dees for some breakfast. It wasn’t that cold but there was a decent wind blowing in our faces on the way there. However on the way home it was blowing on our backs. As you can see Abby & Aiden helped to push Macklan in the stroller on the way there. After breakfast, we came home, packed up and headed back to Mama & Papa’s to go skating.

When we got to Mama & Papa’s, we headed down to the arena to go for a a family skate. Since it was family day weekend they were offering free public skating. This was nice because Abby had missed her skating lesson that weekend because we were visiting. The kids did not go very far on the ice but they had fun. This was actually the first time that I had seen Aiden on the ice so that was lots of fun. As you can see from the picture Aiden jumped right up on top of one of the hockey nets!!!. After that we headed up to Lakefield to visit with Grandma and Grandpa.

Later in the afternoon we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. While they were there they got a little silly as you can see by the pictures. The crazy blue thing actually made its way all the way back to Mississauga with us when we left. Abby also had a chance to play with the Pram that Grandma got her for Christmas.

We ended the day at Mama & Papa’s where Mama read them Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and then they passed out in the bed. In the morning we got up, had some breakfast and headed home.
