Snow Day 2013

On Feb 8th of this year, it snowed about 30 cm in the city, which is the largest dump of snow in the last few years in Mississauga. The last time it snowed like this was probably Valentine’s Day a few years ago, which was the last snow day that we had. We spent the morning in the house enjoying a movie or two and reading some Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Then we went outside to dig ourselves out.

A couple things made this an awesome day. First off, it was Melissa’s Friday off from work so we got to enjoy the whole day as a family. Second was the fact that it was Friday. It’s everyone’s dream to have a snow day on Friday.

As you can see we really had to dig ourselves out, but fortunately we got a lot of help out from Aiden and Abby!!!

It was so deep that we had no problem burying the kids in the front lawn. It was absolutely awesome. After we came in, we had some hot chocolate and made a nice Chicken dinner for the family to wrap up the day.

Until the next snow day.
