Mother’s Day 2015

For Mother’s Day this year we travelled to Peterborough and stayed at Peter and Julie’s. We arrived on Saturday after Melissa finished her night shift and went to Mom and Dad’s so that she could sleep.

The kids and I then went up to see Jackie for the afternoon and visited with her at the house.

On Saturday evening we had a big family dinner at Peter and Julie’s with everyone you see in the family photo below. We also celebrated Susan’s birthday which was earlier in the week. After dinner we gave the grandmother’s their presents and then they went home. It was such a nice day that we had a bonfire in the evening before the kids went to bed.

On Sunday morning, I got up with all the kids and Marley and we watched a movie in the basement. We then went for a walk with Marley around Bethany. After everyone got up, we handed out presents and all had breakfast (the diner was closed because they were changing owners). In the afternoon, Melissa, the kids (Macklan too) and I went for a long walk around the neighbourhood. In the evening, we all went back home.
