This year for Christmas in August we had to come to Douro to pick up Bruce and Jackie and bring them as well. So we decided to come home a couple days early so that we could visit with Dad. We had not seen him since he came home from the hospital.

Wednesday.

So, we came home on Wed and visited with Mom and Dad on Wed afternoon. Then Wed evening we brought Rob, who had been at Mom and Dad’s since Sunday, out to Peter and Julie’s and had a nice dinner and visit.

Thursday

On Thursday, Rob caught the bus back to Toronto in the morning, but not before giving Abby, Aiden and Macklan their birthday presents.

After that, Melissa, the kids and myself took Macklan out to breakfast at the diner near Julie and Peter’s. While at breakfast, Macklan became none to impressed with most everything. Then on the way home he wanted to go to the park because we took him the last time. Unfortunately, we did not have time, and he was none too impressed. Then, I took him to daycare where he was ticked off when I left. I think Macklan is officially 2!!!

We spent the rest of the day at Mom and Dad’s house visiting with them.

On Friday morning we headed out to Marten River for Christmas in August.
