We travelled to Peterborough to celebrate Macklan’s 1st birthday on July 10, 2013. At the party was our family, both of Macklan’s grandparents and a neighbour that plays with Macklan. As you can see from the pictures, Macklan was dying to get walking, getting assistance from anybody to walk around the kitchen and living room.

It was insanely hot that day. So hot that we spent most of the party indoors because we did not want the guest of honour to get overheated. As with tradition, Macklan was given his first ever chocolate cake and as you can see, he absolutely loved it. He not only dug in and devoured the piece of cake he was given, he also attempted to eat the plate that it was on.

It was loads of fun 🙂
