Mom & Dad came to visit me on Mother’s Day Weekend so that I could compete in the Tough Mudder Race in Barrie. Rob also came up to drive me home from the competition and Julie & Macklan came up to also spend the weekend with us.
On Friday night I spent the night in Barrie in preparation for the race & Mom & dad toook care of the kids. Rob came later that night on the Go Bus.
On Saturday morning Julie came up with Macklan came up and spent the day with the kids and Mom & Dad.
On Saturday night after the race Mom & Dad were out Abby & Aiden to bed. They put Aiden in my bed and Abby in her bed and I was going to bring her to my bed when I went to bed. When Mom went to to check on her later, we found her sleeping in her closet in her toy bin. When we asked Abby in the morning why she was sleeping in the toy biin, she siad she did not want to make the bed dirty for her Mama & Papa. We thought that was quite funny and cute.

On Mother’s Day morning, we all exchanged gifts with the respective mothers and took some pictures. Abby made some crafts, including a paper brooch for Melissa to pin on her shirt. Aiden gave her a plant in a jar that he had decorated himself. They were both very cute gifts.
After we exchanged gifts and had breakfast, we got ready and went to church as a family. In the afternoon, Dad got a Turkey dinner ready for the Mother’s to eat (Thanks Mom for the help!!).

When Melissa got up we had lovely Turkey dinner together as a family, which included cupcakes from a new bakery we found in the neighbourhood. It was nice that Melissa got to have a family Turkey dinner since she has to miss so many with her work schedule. All in all it was a fantastic weekend.
