In November Shawn & Megan came to visit with us for a weekend. It took them awhile to arrive on Friday because they hit some traffic, but when they did they were still full of energy.

Once they got themselves unpacked, Melissa & Megan got to work making a pizza for supper. The plan was to make a pizza with the kids and then eat as a family. So the first part went really well. The kids absolutely loved making the pizza and putting their own toppings on it. The second part (the cooking) did not go so well. Megan &  Melissa both don’t cook pizza’s very often and as a result we got a very inedible pizza. Now the kids were so sweet and tried to eat it, but after a couple of bites gave up. So we ended up ordering a pizza for the kids.

Later in the evening, after the kids got ready for bed they found a golden ticket that was left on their pillow from Shawn & Megan. On the ticket it said that they were going to get to watch a movie and eat popcorn in the living and more importantly they were going to get to stay up past their bedtime. Now the kids actually thought that Santa had left them the tickets and we just didn’t have the hearts to tell them that it was Shawn & Megan.

The next day Melissa & megan went shopping while Shawn & i hung out and ran a few errands with the kids. On Saturday evening, Shawn & Megan and Melissa & myself went out for dinner to  Korean BBQ and left the kids with the babysitters. It was sure nice to get out on a date.

On Sunday morning, they went home and Melissa & I went and had very nice afternoon naps. It might be possible that we are getting a little old (well at least I am).
